Good morning everyone, and welcome to a gorgeously sunny morning here on the blog. We are delighted to share today’s real wedding with you, captured by Lilybean Photograhy.
Emma and Oli tied the knot at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire on a glorious summers day. The Academy has stunning buildings and grounds. The wedding itself was held in the magnificent Royal Memorial Chapel. The couple exchanged vows with love, laughter and so much heart. They created an atmosphere that was bright and classically elegant and the panoramic views added to the romance of their day.

Emma chose a sensational gown from our Ellis Bridals collection. Added a couple of extras to make it unique; including a lace topper, sparkly belt, veil and a tiara. This beautiful fit-and-flare dress features chantilly lace appliques, a flattering scoop neckline and a dramatic train. Emma looked completely breathtaking in her Ellis bridals wedding dress.

As Emma is an Ipswich Town supporter she chose a beautiful blue Phase Eight dress for her bridesmaid. Flower girls wore ivory dresses by Monsoon with Dessy sashes and we love them. Together they are squad goals and ticking serious bridesmaid trend boxes.

In Emma’s words… A mutual friend introduced us outside the University of Reading’s Student’s Union at the end of a club night back in 2008! As Oli so lovingly said in his speech, after a 10 year ‘probation’ period, he finally decided I was ‘wife material’ and popped the question!

What was your favourite moment on the day?

It’s so hard to pick a favourite moment as the whole day was simply perfect. The church service at the Royal Memorial Chapel was really special for me as I sing in the choir there every week – we had over 30 choristers on the day as a result and the music was amazing. I also loved the more relaxed moments with our guests during the drinks reception, dinner and dancing at the beautiful Cantley House Hotel. The wonderful staff there made it possible for us to enjoy every aspect of our day - we didn’t have to worry about anything at all which made for a truly lovely experience.

Any wisdom for future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides?

Simply to trust the wonderful ladies at SG! I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted and wasn’t sure what would suit me, although I was pretty sure I didn’t want strapless. I’d already been to one shop and left still none the wiser as nothing had really jumped out. However, during my appointment with Mo, I was given excellent advice and I found that I loved the look, fit and feel of a beautiful strapless dress after all! Mo explained various options for adding straps (as I wanted shoulders covered in the church) which included a ‘topper’ - I didn’t even know this was an option previously. I ended up ordering some additional lace that matched my dress and had a bespoke topper made, making my day dress unique. I removed the topper and added a belt for a different evening ‘look’ and loved that I could have two styles in one dress – that was all down to Mo, Jackie and the rest of the team!

Huge congratulations to the happy couple, Emma and Oli! The whole day was beautifully and thoughtfully styled, with the most incredible florals, decor and fashion choices.
