Mhairi and Graeme's Lillibrooke Manor Wedding
Posted on 16th May 2019 at 11:53
Today we wanted to share something cosy, beautiful and romantic.
Mhairi and Graeme had a fairy tale wedding day at Lillibrooke Manor, Berkshire. The two wed in the most stunning ceremony among their close friends and family. We couldn’t imagine a dreamier place to exchange vows. I love Lillibrooke Manor for its fascinating quirky character – this is one of Berkshire’s favourite wedding venues and one of mine.
Mhairi fell in love with the 'Summer' gown by Diane Legrand and she looked beautiful. Ethereal romance is defined in this lace appliqued fit and flare gown. It features an illusion neckline with an illusion back and covered buttons down the centre back. To add to the femininity, the chapel length train is finished with a scalloped hem. It’s timeless and fabulous!!
Our pair went for rustic and geeky charm theme and the burgundy accents really work so beautifully to lift the look of the whole day, will you just look at the stunning roses, ranunculus and dahlias in Mhairi’s bouquet?! Not to mention the beautiful bridesmaid dress.
We had the opportunity to chat with Mhairi after her wedding and are thrilled to share her responses!
SG: How did this love story start? We met online, and are happy to let people know it actually works out! We knew there was that "spark" from the first date and it has only gotten better over time.
SG: What was your favourite moment on the day? Seeing each other at the end of the aisle; so much time had been spent building up to that moment and feeling all the support from our friends and family and seeing each other was a very special moment...also not being able to squeeze Graeme's ring on at the last moment added to the drama, but luckily I was determined it would fit and it did!
SG: Any wisdom for future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides? Take moments to just being together during the day, so that you relive them with clarity. There are a million things to enjoy and focus on in the day, but really you are there to be together...enjoy it! Also, platform heels are a must for any bride, fabulous yet practical!
Thanks so much to Mhairi for sharing her utterly gorgeous photographs with us today.
