Anna and Adam's Real Wedding
Happy Friday, lovelies! I think we all need a little sunshine in our lives at the moment, so today i am sharing a real wedding i know you will all love. The beautiful bride, Anna, chose us as her wedding gown designer. Our bridal boutique is based in Berkshire in the UK, and we try our best to give our brides the ultimate wedding dress shopping experience for their most special day. After Anna’s wedding day was over, we asked her a few questions about her big day and her husband. Here’s their sweet love story!
How Did Your Partner Propose?
A wedding event is the culmination of a whirlwind turn of events started by a proposal. Proposals are cherished for a lifetime, and if couples remember anything more than their wedding day, it is when they first decided to spend their happily ever after together.
Fortunately, Anna and Adam had quite a romantic proposal. When asked this question, a beaming Anna said, “Adam had been planning in secret for months! He’d pinched one of my rings in order to get the engagement ring sized correctly, and he’d already secretly asked my Dad’s permission whilst on a trip to the garden centre! 6 months after that off we went on holiday Iceland - a trip we’d be planning for over a year. We had booked a beautiful, romantic “bubble hotel” (transparent bubble tents in the middle of the forest) and after a fantastic evening of drinking gin and reminiscing, whilst keeping our eyes peeled for the illusive Northern Lights, he got down on one knee and asked me under the stars.”
When asked what her reaction to the proposal was, Anna mentioned, “It was so romantic, but in reality, I screamed and swore at him when he proposed and immediately burst into tears! But, eventually calmed down enough to say yes!”
What Was the Most Special Part of Your Wedding Day?
Like many other happy brides, the best part about her wedding for Anna was seeing Adam at the top of the aisle, with a massive grin. Anna and Adam had to reschedule their wedding multiple times due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place, but finally went ahead and organized a private, family event without the usual dancing and partying of a Scottish family. Keeping all the delays in mind, Anna was beyond happy to see the man of her dreams standing on top of the aisle, waiting for her.
Words of Wisdom for Future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides
Having been through the entire wedding planning process herself, Anna had a few words of wisdom for future Sophie Grace Bridal Brides. She said, “Don’t let the planning process and “drama” of the day dictate your plans too much. Enjoy the process and don’t stress! When it comes to the dress, listen to the professionals when they suggest you try something different on. Keep your dress options open, but stick to your guns and don’t let your friends/family sway your gut instinct. My mum didn’t love my dress but
I’m so pleased I trusted myself and the Sophie Grace team.” Definitely words we can swear by!
We wish the blessed couple a lifetime of happiness, and hope they enjoyed their romance and wedding as much as we did compiling these answers.
